Every feature exists because of a real pain point, limited time, high stakes, math anxiety, and practice tests that don't match the real ParaPathways exam.

On-screen calculator

4-function calculator for the Math subtest, ETS 5759 spec with Transfer Display. Identical to the real exam. No surprises on test day.

Pass probability after every session

Know where you stand without logging in. Calculated from your accuracy per topic, weighted to match how each topic is distributed across the 87 real exam questions.

Weak-area breakdown

Category scores after every session show exactly which Reading, Writing, and Math areas cost you points, so you study what matters, not everything.

All 4 ETS question formats

Single-select, multi-select, numeric entry, and select-underlined, all formats appear in practice exactly as they do on the real exam. No format surprises.

Explanation after every question

Built for ParaPathways, not the old ParaPro

Most competitors still sell prep for the ParaPro Assessment (1755), which ETS retires on September 1, 2026. Paraeducators who prepare with those tools are drilling questions from an exam that no longer exists.

Why it matters: ParaPathways (ETS 5757) has different question formats, different scoring, and an on-screen calculator that ParaPro never had.
02

Pass probability without an account, no one else does this

Teachers Test Prep shows a "likelihood of passing", but only after completing a full test AND creating an account. We show session-level pass probability free with no login, after every session.

Why it matters: Paraeducators with limited time need to know where they stand after every short session, not only after a 2.5-hour simulation.
03

Classroom Application questions built in, competitors don't have them at all

1 in 3 ParaPathways questions test teaching judgment, not knowledge recall. Every competitor is still drilling the old ParaPro format, none of them have ParaPathways classroom application questions at all.

Real test-taker insight: "A lot of questions were about how you'd act as a paraprofessional, I wasn't prepared for that at all."
State requirements

Which States Require the ParaPathways Exam?

⚠️
ParaPro (1755) is discontinued by ETS on September 1, 2026, every state requiring paraeducator certification must switch to ParaPathways. No exceptions.

Common questions

ParaPathways Assessment: Questions Paraeducators Actually Ask

Can I actually pass the ParaPathways exam using the free tools here?
Yes. Every practice tool includes real ETS-format questions, session-level pass probability, full explanations, and category breakdowns, no account or credit card required. Start practicing in 10 seconds.
What is ParaPathways and how does it differ from ParaPro?
ParaPathways (ETS 5757) replaces the ParaPro Assessment on September 1, 2026, splitting into two separately scored subtests, Reading & Writing (5758, passing ~332) and Mathematics (5759, passing ~334), with an on-screen 4-function calculator added for Math. Scaled scores range 310–350; check our full comparison guide and confirm with your district HR if your job posting still lists ParaPro.
How many questions are on the ParaPathways exam?
87 total, 51 on Reading & Writing (85 min) and 36 on Mathematics (60 min), using four formats: single-select, multi-select (choose exactly two from five options), numeric entry, and select-underlined. About 1 in 3 questions are classroom application questions testing how you'd support a student, not just content knowledge.
Does ParaPathways have a calculator?
Yes, an on-screen 4-function calculator (+, −, ×, ÷, √, memory, Transfer Display) is available for the Mathematics subtest (ETS 5759) only; no calculator is permitted during Reading & Writing. Our Math practice tool includes the identical calculator so test day won't be the first time you've used it.
How much does the ParaPathways exam cost?
$55 at a Prometric test center or $85 for the at-home proctored option, many districts pay the fee for current or new-hire paraeducators, so check with HR before registering. Your score is valid for 10 years; see our exam day checklist for what to bring and expect.
What if I fail the ParaPathways exam?
You can retake, your official score report identifies exactly which ParaPathways topic areas cost you points, giving your retake prep a clear target. Use our weak-area tracker to build a focused study plan, and confirm your state's cut score at our passing score by state guide before re-registering.
How does pass probability work?
Pass probability is your estimated likelihood of passing based on your accuracy per topic, weighted to match each topic's share of the 87 real exam questions. It updates after every session, no account needed. It is not an official ETS metric, but it gives you an honest number to track progress.
